A Fun Day in San Francisco

We decided to go to San Francisco on Saturday! Aiden got to ride the train for the first time!
He was so excited! He kept saying, "choo choo ride, choo choo ride!" It was so cute! We took the BART into downtown and walked around Union Square and all the fun stores.

Then we walked to China town. They had music and street performers. Aiden called them "doggies!" They were fun to watch, except it was really loud and we couldn't seem to get away from them. They were walking in the same direction we were. Look at all those cute shoes! So fun!

After China town we walked down to Pier 39. This was definitely Aiden's favorite part of the day. He loved looking at the boats. "Ohhh boats, ohh boats!" We grabbed some food while we were there, enjoyed some crazy street performers, watched the seals and the boats, and walked back to the BART station. We had a great time, but it was a little too much walking. We were all pretty tired by the end of the day and Aiden was sick of his stroller! Next time I think we will catch the trolley or bus and ride back.

Baby Showers!

So many of my friends from here are having babies! This means lots of baby showers! I don't have pictures from all of the showers, but here's one from Meagans. We went out to breakfast at Cup n' Saucer in San Jose. It was delicious! The three of us on the end are all expecting. Hailey was due this week and Meagan is due shortly. I met all these great girls from recruiting events and activities through Bryan's work. All of our husbands work together. Here are couple gifts I made. The first is a tag blanket and the other is a nursing cover with a matching diaper pouch.

I have a Baby Bump!

This picture was taken at 24 weeks (6 months). He's actually poking out a lot more now. I can't believe this was taken only 5 days ago. I feel like he's gotten so big in the last couple days! He continues to move around a ton! Which I love, but sometimes he keeps me awake! I feel like he does somersaults all night long. He is especially active at 11:00 o'clock every night! I hope this trend does not continue!

My Hardworking Boys!

Bryan finished another CPA exam a couple weeks ago. On his way home he got the supplies to make a t.v. antenna. He was so excited to do something besides studying and Aiden was super excited to help him out! They were pretty cute working together! The antenna works really well by the way! Good work boys!

Amish White Bread

The other day I wanted to make bread but I didn't have any whole wheat so I made this white bread recipe instead. It turned out delicious and stayed together really well for sandwiches! It's super easy since there are only a few ingredients. Here's the recipe if you want to try it out! Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS
2 cups warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
2/3 cup white sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons active dry yeast
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 cup vegetable oil
6 cups bread flour

DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, dissolve the sugar in warm water, and then stir in yeast. Allow to proof until yeast resembles a creamy foam.
Mix salt and oil into the yeast. Mix in flour one cup at a time. Knead dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth. Place in a well oiled bowl, and turn dough to coat. Cover with a damp cloth. Allow to rise until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour.
Punch dough down. Knead for a few minutes, and divide in half. Shape into loaves, and place into two well oiled 9x5 inch loaf pans. Allow to rise for 30 minutes, or until dough has risen 1 inch above pans.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes.
