Quite the Day...

Melissa promised that I would post some pictures and tell about our "interesting" day we had on Monday. We'll start off with the fun things...for family night we carved our first pumpkin. Aiden was actually pretty funny about it. He didn't want anything to do with the seeds and guts of the pumpkin, but was highly interested in taking the lid off and wanted to play with the carving knife.

After carving our pumpkin, Aiden was ready for bed. He was taking a bath as normal...normal for him is splashing around like a crazy man and playing with his toys. He was standing next to the edge getting ready to get out and slipped and hit his head on the edge of the tub. He split his eyebrow wide open and was screaming really loud. We got him calmed down and got his eyebrow to stop bleeding, but it looked pretty bad. We decided that since he and Melissa were leaving the next day for Indiana we should have ot looked at. Since it was 8pm we took him to the urgent care...as you can see from the pictures he now has 3 stitches. Melissa and I hope none of you ever have to watch your children get sitches, it's pretty heartbreaking to see your child strapped to a bodyboard, unable to move, and screming as they get their face stitched up. Luckily it hasn't seemed to bother him too much and he has been pretty good about leaving it alone. Also, we are glad we went to urgent care instead of the ER because we were in and out in about an hour...we would probably still be there if we were at the ER. So...that was our crazy evening!

Pumpkin Patch!

Aiden and I have had a ton of fun going to the pumpkin patch! We went with some friends and then the next week we went with the play group from the ward! There was lots to do...

look at and touch the animals (the little chicks were Aidens favorite)

Play on the bouncy toys.

Look at and pick up all the pumpkins. Hooray for pumpkins!

And even go for a tractor ride!

It's definitely Fall!

This is the gorgeous view off of our balcony! I love the colors of Fall!

We love going to the park! There are so many fun parks around here. This park was great because it had a huge lake! It reminded me of the Columbia River back home.

And just a picture to make you smile!
How can you not smile when you see that cute face! His smile is pretty darn contagious if you ask me!

Bryan's birthday

For Bryan's birthday Aiden and I surprised him and showed up at work to take him out for lunch. We ate at this great place just a couple blocks from his office. After lunch Aiden and I went and saw where Bryan worked and met several of his coworkers. That night we invited some friends to play minature golf. This was a lot of fun! THanks everyone for coming! The birthday boy won! He says we let him win because it was his birthday, but it's really not true! I mean come on look at that great form! :)

After playing 18 holes and chasing Aiden and Brooklyn around (they had a great time checking out all the holes, climbing up the hills, grabbing the balls, checking out all the cool little buildings, etc.) we ate cupcakes in the parking lot!

After that we headed home and put Aiden to bed.
Bryan then got to open his presents. He got a nice wallet, some dress shirts, and a NFL computer game. I got some amazing steals! I would say he had a very happy birthday!

I am way behind on blogging! There has just been a lot going on. First off Conference was amazing! We went to my in-laws for General Conference weekend and had a great time as always. It was great to be with family and to listen to the awesome sessions of conference. I don't know why but I felt like this conference was especially good! Maybe it's because of everything that is happening in the world right now with the economy and the election. I just felt reassured and hopeful again. I loved Elder Uchdorf's talk on hope and President Monson's talk on Enjoying the Journey. There were just so many good talks!! Which one's were your favorite? I can't wait to get the Conference Ensign and reread them all! While we were there we went out to The Place (the house Bryan's parents are building) It was exciting to see the progress that has been made!

We also went and saw Grandma. She's still as sweet as ever!

Bryan got to celebrate his birthday with his family. His mom fixed him steak and potatoes, garlic bread, salad, fresh fruit... mmm it was delicious!

And of course the little boys had a great time playing together!
