Trying to Catch up!

Austin turned 2 two days after Garrett was born! He was so excited about the tractor cake Nana made for him and was thrilled it had chickens on it!
Austin is a super happy kid! He loves to make everyone laugh and have a good time! He has been SO sweet with baby Garrett. When we came home from the hospital he wanted to hold him and help him every second he could! "Can I hold baby Garrett mom? Are you going to change baby Garrett mom? Are you going to give baby Garrett a bath mom? Baby Garrett is crying mom! I gave baby Garrett his binky mom!" He is a proud big brother and already looks out for his little brother!

My wonderful husband had a birthday a few days after Austin. We didn't do much since I just had a baby, but I put up a banner and we did had cake and he got a couple of presents. His mom even made him banana cream pie! YUM! Aiden also had a birthday a month after Garrett was born! He turned 4! For one month I could say I had three children age 3 and younger! Crazy huh? We celebrated his birthday and Garrett's baby blessing with a family dinner at our home. Aiden is a huge help at home! He's learning a lot right now and loves to read together, work construction projects with dad, build with legos, watch Bob the builder and any other show thats not scary.

He also celebrated his birthday at preschool with a letter C Caterpillar cake and played a couple of birthday games with his friends at school.

Our friends from our old Sunnyvale ward came to visit! We always have a great time with them.

The boys on Garrett's blessing day! The day was absolutely perfect! Garrett was given such a beautiful blessing! I was reminded of what a special son he is and how much love our Heavenly Father has for him. My mom and I were in tears. There was a very special feeling there. There is just something so neat about seeing your husband take your sweet infant in his arms and through the power of the priesthood give him a name and a blessing. I was missing having my dad there on this special occasion and I had this overwhelming peace and feeling come and I just knew my dad was there standing in the circle, helping to give his grandson blessing.

My mom came out for 3 weeks!! I know I am so spoiled! We had such a great time! She was a huge help as I adjusted to having three little ones!

Halloween

I know it's almost December and I am barely posting Halloween pictures! Better late than never right? Last year I was way ambitious and made the boys costumes from scratch without a pattern! I'm so CRAZY I know! I do love how they turned out though, even though it took me forever to make them! This year I went the easier route and made the costumes starting with a large black shirt and sweat pants and then added lettering and yellow duct tape. I saw the idea online. I'm pretty happy with the results! We had a lot of fun. We took the boys to the ward trunk or treat and also went around to a few houses on Halloween night. The boys even got to go on a hay ride with Poppa on the tractor and go the the pumpkin patch a few times.
