Swimming!

As much as we would love to be living in a house, there are some perks to living in an apartment complex - weight/work out rooms and swimming pools!! I have loved having a place to go work out! I don't know why, but it's so much easier to do it when I have a designated place to go with all the equipment there. And the swimming pool is fabulous!! This past week was hot! So we headed straight for the pool. Even though the pool isn't heated yet, Aiden absolutely loved it! We invited some friends to come swim with us the other day. Aiden loved having Noah and Laura there to swim with him, and I enjoyed having my friends Sara and Melanie there to chat with! Yay for friends, hot weather and swimming pools!!

Pregnancy update!

Now that the news is out I can give you all the details and answer all your questions! My due date is September 24th, so that puts me at 17 1/2 weeks. (The picture was taken at 17 weeks) I will be 18 weeks on Friday. I have started feeling the baby move around a lot! It's so fun! Besides being a little more tired and hungry all the time, I have been feeling really good! There were a few weeks in the beginning where I was miserable and laid on the couch most of the day. Luckily Aiden didn't seem to mind, in fact he enjoyed having me right there while he played. It has been super difficult not to tell anyone. We finally told our families at Easter and have been telling everyone else since then. I have my ultrasound in 2 weeks from today to find out what we are having! Yay I'm so excited!! Hopefully the baby will cooperate! So do you have any guesses? Will we have a boy or a girl?

Easter

Bryan picked Aiden and I up from the airport on Saturday afternoon and we headed straight to Modesto for Jack's birthday. Happy birthday Jack! We stayed the night and enjoyed Easter Sunday with Bryan's family. Sunday morning the boys had a great time finding Easter eggs. We were surprised that Aiden understood what to do. He caught right on! And was super fast at finding all the eggs.

We enjoyed a nice breakfast, went to church and then had a great dinner at Uncle Drew's house. After dinner we headed back home to Sunnyvale. It was a short trip but so worth it! Thanks for all the treats Nana and Aunt Jen!

Washington trip continued...

We also got to stay with Grandma, Luetta and Alaine for a night and enjoy Sunday General Conference with them. Aiden loved Luetta's dogs and looking at the tractor behind their house.

Of course we had to make the traditional bunny cake for Lauries birthday.

The Friday night before we left we had some Easter Activities for the kids to help them learn the true meaning of Easter. Here they are eating some "passover" food, and getting ready for an obstacle course where they had to carry a heavy bagpack through once and then go through again without it. The rocks inside the bagpack represented their burdens, and sins. After doing the course without the bagpack they were able to see what it's like to have their sins and burdens lifted through the atonement of Jesus Christ. Other activities included acting out the resurrection, decorating crowns and acting out Christs entrance, watching a movie and lots of others. Denae and Teresa did a great job putting all these activites together for the kids.

Just a couple more pictures...

Washington Trip

Here are a few pictures from our trip to Washington. We had a great time! It was so nice to be able to see my family and for Aiden to get to know his cousins a little bit better. By the end of our time there he was giving them all hugs. Here we are watching General Conference. The kids are playing Conference Bingo. Between sessions of conference we made Rice Crispy Eggs dipped in chocolate and sprinkles.

Aiden thought it was great fun to play the piano with his cousins.

We had lots of fun playing outside and at the park,

holding and admiring the new baby,

playing and having fun,

Pictures for Grandma and Grandpa

My main reason for going to Washington was to help my sister Jana out. She just had her sixth child! She is amazing! So here he is! Baby Joshua, born Arpril 3rd weighing 7 pounds 10 ounces. He is just so beautiful and so precious! The kids all love him and can't get enough of him! Their family is just adorable! We have been having lots of fun in Washington. I'll post more picture later of our trip, but I wanted to get some pictures up so my parents could enjoy their new grandson.
